Hidden Under Stone: A Fully Concealed Underground Shelter

A self-sufficient underground survival home

This underground shelter is fully concealed beneath a natural stone structure, making it nearly invisible from above. Designed for off-grid living, privacy, and long-term safety, the shelter blends seamlessly into the forest environment.
Reinforced steel construction, insulated walls, and a hidden entrance system provide protection from weather, wildlife, and unwanted attention. Inside, the space is engineered for autonomy, comfort, and survival without reliance on external infrastructure.

Sleeping & Living Area

The living space includes bunk beds, a compact sofa, and a media area for rest and entertainment.
This area is optimized for comfort without wasting space. Silent ventilation and warm LED lighting create a stable indoor climate.
The shelter can comfortably sleep up to 4 people.

Food Storage & Energy Core

This room is the heart of the shelter. It stores long-term food supplies including canned goods, grains, vegetables, and bottled water — enough for 6–12 months for 2–3 people.
Multiple EcoFlow here you can get a 300$ discount power stations provide electricity for lighting, refrigeration, ventilation, and electronics.
Food is stored in controlled conditions, ensuring it does not spoil even during extended isolation.

Compact Kitchen & Food Preparation Area

This compact yet fully functional kitchen is designed for long-term off-grid living. It includes an induction cooktop, sink, built-in refrigerator, open shelving for dry foods, and minimalistic furniture to save space.
The refrigerator operates on low power consumption and is fully supported by EcoFlow battery stations. Dry foods are stored in sealed glass containers, protecting them from humidity and pests.
This kitchen allows full daily cooking without reliance on external utilities.

Fitness & Recreation Room

This multifunctional room combines physical training and mental relaxation. It includes a compact gym setup with free weights, a multifunction cable machine, and a virtual golf simulator.
The space is designed to maintain physical health during long periods of isolation. LED perimeter lighting reduces eye strain and creates a calm atmosphere.
All equipment is powered by EcoFlow units, ensuring silent operation without fuel or generators.

Bathroom & Water Filtration System

The bathroom integrates a high-grade water filtration and storage system. Large sealed water tanks ensure long-term water availability, while multi-stage filters provide safe drinking and shower water.
Water can be sourced from rain collection or underground reserves and remains potable for years due to sealed storage and filtration.
The shower and toilet are designed for minimal water consumption.

Technical Summary

Total estimated area: ~52 m² (560 sq ft)
Power: EcoFlow battery stations + optional solar input
Autonomy: 6–12 months

  1. What regions do you typically build these in?

    1. Good question.
This project is a conceptual design, not tied to one exact build location.

In real-world terms, shelters like this are typically suitable for inland and elevated regions — areas with stable ground and low flood risk.
Coastal and flood-prone zones would indeed require a very different design and engineering approach.

That’s why in our content we focus on mountainous, hillside, and inland environments, where this type of shelter makes practical sense.

      1. Who do I have to talk to to get one built

      2. I have property in the Texas hill country and would be interested in an estimate to build one like this but in the next 2 years can you email me your information so I can save it thanks in advance.

  2. This is awesome ?..I would ?? to own an underground bunker like this, but I would want it built a bit deeper

  3. Still waiting on a post that says what region you guys actually typically build this in? I know you don’t build close to the coast because it would flood.

  4. Great project, Location and cost?

  5. Is it possible to have an elevator built in for people with disabilities?

  6. Can you please send me a message and let me know some details.

    Would work great in Lebanon

  9. Do you have more than 1 layout? One that can fit more than four people?

  10. Is there a secondary escape hatch? This one opens outward. This could be deadly if a tree were to land on top of the hatch. You would literally be entombed! You need a secondary escape hatch for fast escapes and it would have to open In so nothing could block the Exit. What is the contingency for this?

Also I didn’t see a price list that was promised on the previous page.

  11. Love love love.. how do I purchase this? I’ll be ready by 2027

  12. Love this! Please let me know when they become available to build.

    1. Price for half the size in the GA mountains
